Foreign direct investments have reached Chinas inland long ago already as cities located off-site the coast offer increasingly good investment opportunities. Consequently, Jiaozuo located in Henan province was host town of the Sino-German Cooperation Exchange Symposium held on the 22 September 2016. Main topics discussed on the event were current investment opportunities in China and Germany. In Jiaozuo – famous for its unique Yuntai Mountain – high rank business and administration executives met for the symposium. Among the guest were Deputy Mayor Xueda Qiao and other government officials as well as over one hundred representatives of local companies.
Furthermore, Helis & Associates invited Markus Hempel of Germany Trade & Invest, Sebastian Wiendieck of Rödl & Partner, Dr. Gerald Neumann of Fan, Chan & Dr. Neumann Business Advisory, Hang Li of Baden-Württemberg International, Xingliang Feng of NRW Invest and Alexander Kaymer of KAYRO Solutions to speak on the symposium.
The great interest of Chinese and German representatives stresses the importance of foreign investment for the two countries. Innovative technologies initiate new investment possibilities and are supported by a profound administrative framework. Thus the exchange of direct investment in China and Germany will continue to play a significant role.
The Sino-German Cooperation Exchange Symposium was organized by the city government of Jiaozuo together with Helis & Associates. It was part of a series of events of the Sino-German Industrial City Alliance – a project initiated by the Foshan government – that promotes communication and cooperation between its members and currently counts about 20 cities.
